Saturday 21st November Gala Bristol 10 pound triple chance TR

Went to the Gala with Steve, to find the 10pound Freezeout had been replaces with a 10pound triple chance, which is good. Figured it would be just as fish infested but with the added value of a rebuy and topup just incase ;)

Struture is ok, 2500 starting stack with a 20 min clock

My starting table was very poor, with a lot of dead money. The first hand of the night says it all really.

utg bets pot (250), call, call, raise to 1000, call, call, call, call, call

As you can tell i was quite happy with the standard of the table but found myself absolutely card dead with no real hands to note for first hour.

i topped up for another 2500 and started the f/o with about 7k in chips
First premium hand, ak and i flop fullhouse for ZERO action lol

I really struggled as had no big hands but also didnt seem to get any playable cards in position of the big fish!

Got my stack dented by a v weak callin station when i flopped 2 pair from sb and tried to get all his chips

Qd Td 4h 3s and i put him all in with top two, he calls of his stack with 4d 7d (which he limped in with pre?!!)

down to 4k with blinds at 200/400 and 60 reamining i was in a spot but found switching gearsinto a betting monstaer was good and chipped back up to 11k pretty quickly.

with 45ish players left i had an interesting hand - blinds 400/800
on button with 75ss i limp, sb folds and bb checks his option

flop - 7 6 3

he bets 2500 into 2000 pot and i ponder for AGES, eventually gettin my 1st ever clock called on me, i know im infront but wanna get this crucial hand right
i call and the turn brings Ah
he checks, i bet 2500 again and he insta check raises to 5k, so i insta reraise all in for another 6k and he folds ;)

Our table breaks with 20 players remaining and i get shoved two seats to left of chip leader who had over 140k in chips.
i have 21k and am one of the short stacks, with 10 gettin paid.
there are a lot of akwards stacks on my table 30k-45k that due to this huge chip leader can pretty much fold to final table and i wanna exploit this.

in first to levels 7 people go out but im down to 17k, as i tried to vbe creative with small pps to no avail.

with the blinds about to increase to 1k/2k and with 19k in chips i limp utg +1 with 78ss after utg limps.
sb is v aggressive and has 45k in chips and the bb is the chip leader so i wanna be in the pot
two more limpers and the small blind raises again to 5k, folds to me and i insta shove as i figure the sb wont call of half his stack light

i was right - he had AA

i hit the flop for a pair but miss turn and river and finish 13/100

Havent updated for ages as had silly shit going on

Champions of champions pool was cool, we lost in the last 16 making us one of the best pool teams in the country - fact!!!

As for poker, ive hardly played and December will be the start of my epic grind - and Fezios online and live success gives me the kick up the arse i need

Roll is low tbh as non poker stuff has really effected my game, but its all good

Here is decemebers plan:

Play 4000 hands at NL10
Play a bunch of small stakes MTTs - max $5 as thats all i am rolled for (sad i know)
and keep posting on the blog lol

My plan of attack is simple

Every month i will deposit 50pounds onto one of the sites i use to help to the task, after the 12 months i will take all that back and the goal will only have been reached if the remaining roll is over target.

I will also use live games as a roll booster
Live i will try and play the following:

Gala Bristol 10pound triple chance
snooker club 10 f/o
local pub 5 f/o

and a few others.

Will do a tr for last sats 10 triple later too

The challenge is simple - turn $100 into $4000 by xmas 2010, sounds easy eh.

Problem i have is im too happy to go and spend 10% plus on an mtt, and then get d0nked off by some muppet. Standard eh.....

Well im gonna focus my attentions at the moment on stars (username - s4ooter) playing a whole heap of NL10 exclusively with the odd mtt thrown in :)

As i said, main focus is gonna be stars to start, but i will be moving a lot of my cash play onto Poker.co.uk, thanks to a generous Rakeback from Mr Mango Dale.
