Round Up of last couple of days.
After a good start to my $6 hu marathon i had a really big downswing, and oh my god didnt it hurt!
Won 13 Lost 7 in first session, 3 losses due to connection issues :(
Then played another 14 yesterday and only won 3!! had an 8 game losing streak, which saw me get money in 2 times with turned flush, only for villian to get a paired board on river for full houses!! a couple of sick 3 outers and AA aipf getting busted by Q5o lol
so in total i had:
Played 34
Won 16
Lost 18
Tonight i played a set of 8
Won 5
Lost 3
I lost 2 consecutive to "imperial01" who was nothing short of awful, but managed to get a hot deck and i lost 4 flips on the trot to him. Both games saw me take a big advantage. And then with blinds at 50/100, and me with 2000-2300 and him with 700-1000 chips. I lost the following:
Game 1
AK v 55 (leaves me short stack)
77 v AT (he hits - busto!)
Game 2
88 v JT (he hits - leaves me ss)
44 v K5o (he hits im busto!)
The only other person that bt me tonight was a silverstar reg called "dochvtech" who was pretty soft, but (like every $6 HU player) got shove happy as soon as he had 1000 or less!!
i did play one guy who just shoved EVERY hand which was insane. Luckily for me i picked up QQ first hand and he had 58o and a scary 8 on board had me on edge (tell ive been running poo eh?!) but turn and river blanks settled my nerves!
which now makes me breakeven - rake, which i am happy to be at considering the horrible downswing i experienced.
i also played a $5 32 man HUsng and decided if i cashed i would play in tonights $22 $5k gaurenteed HU.
1st pays $50+
5-8 pays $10
1st rd (last 32)
played Mandat33 - 7/10
He was actually the hardest player out of all i played in this. And the chips swang for a while. However i noticed a leak, and that he checked raised his draws alot.
On a Qd 5h Ad board he check raised me all in, i called with AJ and he had diamond draw :) Nothing better when your tell is right!
Turn and River Blank sees me through to the last 16
2nd Rd (last 16)
played Crispyones - 3/10
This guy just wanted to gambol!!!
Lucky for me i flopped straight flush with 87cc on 6c 5c 4c board and he open shoved into me!
ty
1/4s
Emmerich444 - 5/10
had cashed now and was chuffed although only $10 and wanted one more round so the $22 wasnt costing too much out of my roll.
BUT was card dead, and only saw two starting hands which ko'd me pretty quick in the 50/100 level
i limped the button with 22, he raises, i shove he calls with k8o (huh)
flop 8Q7 (always the first card!!!)
shortstacked i limp button few hands later with 22 and flop comes 3 2 9
he shoves i call and he has 33 :(
Never mind - on to the $22 tourny (which is actually costing me $17 ha)
An unusally high number of runners (389) with 64 paid and top 2 both getting a $1k score
Round 1 i get a bye - yay - only 2 more wins to the money!!!!
Round 2 - i busto!!! lol
Played a guy called Griske1
The match lasted forever, and i got him down to 600chips, with blinds at 50/100
He shoves with Q9o v my A8ss and hits his Q on the turn. He then proceeds to shove EVERY hand (this seems to happen a lot in these HU tournys!)
Going into the break with blinds raising to 75/150 he has me dominated 2100 v 900 lol
FUCKED!
I end up shoving with AJ v his KQ, flop comes KKx and the dream is over.
Roll is looking pretty bleak, as mentioned prior im back at $100.
But i think i can definatly start to win $$$ at this and just grind away. Obv a score would be nice!
Only need to win 13/20 to have a 20% roi which is substantail and easily obtainable.
Also gonna allow myself mini shots if i win more than 6buyins a night. If so i will play 1x 32 man $5 hu sng, as i fancy shipping one of these very soon
Also gonna try and play the $5.50 64 man winner takes all mtt (HU) and the $2.20 128 man winner takes all varient!
Only got a win the $5 one once in 63 attempts and the $2 one in 127 attempts to be profitable!!!
Come on Dann the HU wiz!
Amazing as if you asked me 6months ago, i HATED Heads Up with a passion!
